This is my current favorite quote on principles.

David, here it is, my philosophy is basically this, and this is something that I live by, and I always have, and I always will: Don’t ever, for any reason, do anything, to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you’ve been, ever, for any reason whatsoever.
Michael Scott, The Office, Season 5: The Duel

The trendiest of trendy things. We love to talk about principles. We love the phrase first principles. And low code/no code is the stuff of dreams and also trendy.

Every lower code platform is about easier ways to use consume, find, and play with data. If you want to become a developer in the low code era then start with data.

Get started…

Choose a question that interests you. If you start with sweaters, pictures of cats, 10000 images of handwritten letters then you’re likely going to end very fast. Most data science projects are “predict homes sales”, Find fake news. Predict the price of collector video game items in 3 years. Is it worth buying the special collector edition controller and storing it away? (No it was way better to use it)

It was way more fun to own then sell later

Find some Data.

Learn how to “PLAY” with it.

You don’t need 10,000 hours under your belt of learning about how to mess with data in order to build lower code tools. It’s 20 hours. It’s one week of effort.

Check out Directual. They’re a good lower code tool that sets you up well if you have bigger aspirations for your idea and you’ll see how understanding data is key.
